Loans to consumers by the local banks slightly went up in the first quarter of this year, the Bangko Setral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said over-the weekend. As of end-March 2010, the consumer loans (CLs) of universal/commercial banks (U/KBs) and thrift banks (TBs) reached P417.2 billion.
